Important Update for Education Providers

All providers in the FE and Skills Sector are required to educate learners about the risks of extremism as part of the government’s Prevent strategy, a key component of safeguarding assessed by Ofsted.

Since 2016, the Department for Education (DfE) has funded online Prevent training modules hosted on etflearners.org, a platform developed and supported by Tintisha Technologies. This resource has created over a million user accounts and serves hundreds of learners daily.

Upcoming Changes

The DfE will cease funding for etflearners.org after the current academic year (ending July 2025), resulting in the platform’s closure. While new face-to-face resources are expected to be introduced, this approach may not suit all learners, particularly those in dispersed post-16 provision.

New Solution: Prevent-It.uk

To ensure continued access to high-quality Prevent training, Tintisha Technologies has launched Prevent-It.uk. This new platform offers:

  • Updated eLearning resources aligned with the 2024 guidance

  • A new module on County Lines

  • Assessments certificated by Highfield eLearning
